He debuted in Formula One with Williams during the 2017 season and raced there until 2018. He then joined Racing Point in 2019 and remained with the team as it transitioned into Aston Martin. Notably, the team is co-owned by his father, Lawrence Stroll. Throughout his career, Lance has scored three podium finishes: third place in the 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the 2020 Italian Grand Prix, and the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix.
In 2023, Stroll achieved his best-ever result in the drivers' standings, finishing 10th. However, he was still no match for his teammate Fernando Alonso, who consistently outperformed him.
Aston Martin’s form declined in 2024, and things worsened for Stroll as well. Once again, he failed to match Alonso's pace and results.
